My family traditionally has a Pumpkin Carving Party for Halloween, so why not an Egg Dyeing Party for Easter? It makes a fun tradition even more exciting! This year, I developed an “egg hunt” tablescape concept. I wanted elements you see during an egg hunt to be present on my table… grass, flowers & colors of spring.
To make my centerpiece, I cut down an inexpensive, plastic window box to the correct scale for the table. I planted potted grass, added my hand-made, paper rose garland and voila! An egg hunt centerpiece! I absolutely had to incorporate wind-up chicks on my table. They are something my mother always had around for Easter when I was growing up. Placing them on my own table added a nostalgic, whimsical touch to our breakfast.
To keep things simple (and since we had a busy day planned), we made just one item for breakfast… my Carrot Pancakes. As always, they were delicious and gobbled up!
You will probably notice there are no images of egg dyeing! Well… this was supposed to take place after eating our pancakes, but life happened and now the eggs will actually be dyed tomorrow. Check back for images! Hopefully next year we will manage to dye the eggs during the Egg Dyeing Breakfast Party! Haha.
Update: We dyed eggs!
