Origami Baskets

I am always completing DIY tasks for my parties. Not necessarily to save money, but to customize my party and to be sure all of my elements are unified. For my Stoop Egg Hunt party, I wanted to make paper baskets for my guests to egg hunt with. I found a fantastic tutorial – “A Wider Origami Basket” by Clara of Bloomize.

I started with a 19.5″ square piece of paper. This size was great, but couldn’t quite hold a dozen eggs. Making it a bit deeper would have helped. The tutorial is very self-explanatory. The 13th step is a little tricky, you really have to work your paper and do some trial and error. Below are photos of my process that might be helpful. Also, I used tape on my handles to be sure the baskets would hold enough weight.

Hi!

I am Erin! I am an interior designer in the midwest. I love the design process: ideating, developing, actualizing. It is so incredibly fulfilling. As is being a parent! Life with both could not be better♥️
