Chicago had such a beautiful day today I couldn’t resist making my first seasonal batch of lemonade. Summer is technically about a month away, but enough is enough! Time to embrace the sun, warmth and flavors of summer!
I love making lemonade. There is no comparison to freshly squeezed fruit served on ice on a hot day. Delicious! I love Giada De Laurentiis’ recipe, Italian Lemonade. Outstanding! I make it all the time. The basil and sparkling water add a fantastic dimension to an already refreshing beverage. Just be careful adding the simple syrup to your mixture. Sometimes adding the entire amount makes the lemonade a bit too sweet. Add half and taste, add half and taste, and so on. So worth the time! Yummy!
