To celebrate my son’s 2nd birthday and my husband’s 30th birthday, I developed a concept that was fitting for adults and children. I wanted the party to be close to home since I was due with my second child that same month. I chose a Latin restaurant with a perfect outdoor area suited for a southwest theme. I integrated my son’s favorite toy at the time, John Deere tractors. John Deere holds a special place in my heart, since my grandpa is a collector. I have many wonderful memories associated with John Deere and was so excited to pass those onto my son. The best part of the party was when we presented a vintage John Deere pedal tractor to my son, which my grandpa had restored. Other highlights of the party were the cactus pinata, musical entertainer and the “embellish your hat & bandana” table!
